Prejudiced words about mental illness are often heard in advertisements, movies or magazines. Terms like “madness”, “crazy”, “screwed-up” are unfortunately used. Despite significant progress in recent years, mental health disorders are still stigmatized. The collective imagination surrounding mental health issues is perpetuated and transmitted, in part, through the lexical field that is associated to it.
